The Minister of the Ministry of Women, Family Affairs, and Human Rights Development of Southwest State, Mrs. Hon Nasra Aweis Abkow, conducted an inspection to examine closely the working conditions of the offices of Women’s rights Organizations working on women’s and children’s issues.
The Minister’s visit began at the Women’s Association Head office in Baidoa district, where she was warmly received by the Chairperson of the Women’s Association of Baidoa, Mrs Hindi Isack Ali, along with some staff members of the office. Minister Nasra and the Chairperson discussed strengthening cooperation and accelerating activities aimed at prioritizing women’s rights and children’s wellbeing.
Additionally, the Minister of Women’s Affairs visited as well as toured the offices of various NGOs working on women’s and children’s issues. Minister Nasra, who spoke with all the leaders of women’s organizations, emphasized the ongoing efforts and progress made for the development and empowerment of women in the Southwest State.
